翡翠嘅三個等級
買翡翠前，最重要係了解 A、B、C 貨嘅分別。呢個係判斷翡翠真假嘅最基本知識。
A貨（天然翡翠）
完全天然，只經過切割打磨，無任何化學處理。係最有價值嘅翡翠，亦係我哋 Missing Faye Co. 唯一出售嘅翡翠。
B貨（漂白注膠）
經過強酸漂白，再注入樹脂填充裂縫。外觀靚，但耐久性差，時間長咗會變黃、開裂。
C貨（染色翡翠）
人工染色，顏色唔自然。通常顏色太均勻、太鮮豔，仔細觀察可以見到顏色沿裂縫分佈。
點樣識別真假？
- 觀察顏色：天然翡翠嘅顏色分佈唔均勻，有深有淺；染色翡翠顏色太均勻、太鮮豔
- 感受溫度：天然翡翠摸落去涼涼地；B貨注膠後溫度感覺唔同
- 聽聲音：兩件翡翠互碰，天然翡翠聲音清脆；B貨聲音沉悶
- 索取鑑定證書：向信譽良好嘅商家購買，並索取鑑定證書

A Beginner's Guide to Buying Jade in Hong Kong
Hong Kong is one of the world's most important jadeite trading hubs, but the market also has its share of imitations and treated stones. This guide covers the essential knowledge you need to buy jadeite with confidence.
The Three Grades of Jadeite
Before buying jadeite, the most important thing to understand is the difference between Grade A, Grade B, and Grade C jade. This is the most fundamental knowledge for distinguishing genuine from treated stone.
Grade A (Natural Jadeite)
Completely natural — only cut and polished, with no chemical treatment whatsoever. This is the most valuable form of jadeite, and the only type sold by Missing Faye Co.
Grade B (Bleached and Resin-Filled)
Treated with strong acid bleaching, then injected with resin to fill cracks. Looks attractive initially, but durability is poor — it will yellow and crack over time.
Grade C (Dyed Jadeite)
Artificially dyed, resulting in unnatural colour. The colour is typically too uniform and too vivid. On close inspection, you can see colour concentrated along fracture lines.
How to Identify Genuine Jadeite
- Examine the colour: Natural jadeite has uneven colour distribution with lighter and darker areas; dyed jadeite appears too uniform and too vivid
- Feel the temperature: Natural jadeite feels cool to the touch; Grade B stone (resin-filled) has a different thermal feel
- Listen to the sound: When two pieces of jadeite are tapped together, natural jadeite produces a clear, crisp ring; Grade B produces a dull thud
- Request a certificate: Buy from reputable sellers and always ask for a gemological certificate
