How to Measure Your Jade Bangle Size: A Beginner's Guide
Buying a jade bangle is a significant decision, and the inner diameter (圈口, ring size) is the most critical measurement. Too small and it won't go on; too large and it will slip off. Always measure accurately before purchasing.
What Is the Ring Size (圈口)?
The ring size of a jade bangle refers to its inner diameter, measured in millimetres (mm). Common sizes on the market range from 48mm to 62mm, with 50mm to 58mm being the most common for adult women.
How to Measure (Step by Step)
- Step 1: Press your four fingers (index to little finger) together — do not include the thumb
- Step 2: Use a soft tape measure to measure the width of the four fingers pressed together at their widest point (in millimetres)
- Step 3: The measurement is your ring size
- Step 4: If your knuckles are larger than your fingers, add 2–3mm to ensure the bangle can be put on comfortably
Choosing the Right Fit
The tightness of a jade bangle is a matter of personal preference, but there are a few basic principles:
- Snug fit (ring size = hand width): Requires effort to put on, but stays secure once on — suitable for active daily wear

How to Put On a Tight Bangle
