翡翠嘅種水同顏色係決定翡翠價值嘅兩大核心因素。了解呢兩樣嘢，你就可以更有信心地選購翡翠。

種水由高至低

玻璃種：最高等級，幾乎完全透明，有螢光效果
冰種：通透如冰，略帶朦朧感，性價比高
糯冰種：介乎冰種與糯種之間，有輕微朦朧感
糯種：如糯米般半透明，質地細膩
豆種：最常見，不透明，晶體結構明顯

翡翠嘅顏色

翡翠嘅顏色以「正陽俏濃均」為最佳評判標準：顏色純正（正）、鮮豔明亮（陽）、分佈恰到好處（俏）、飽和度高（濃）、分佈均勻（均）。

最貴係咩顏色？

帝王綠（Imperial Green）係翡翠中最珍貴嘅顏色，呈現鮮豔純正嘅翠綠色，配上玻璃種或冰種，價值極高。其次係紫羅蘭（紫色翡翠）同紅翡。

💡 記住：種水同顏色要結合睿。一塊帝王綠但種水差嘅翡翠，未必比一塊冰種飄綠嘅翡翠更値錢。兩者要兼顧！

Texture grade and colour are the two core factors that determine jadeite's value. Understanding these two aspects will give you the confidence to make informed purchasing decisions.

Texture Grades from Highest to Lowest

Glass-type (玻璃種): The highest grade — almost completely transparent, with a fluorescent glow effect
Ice-type (冰種): Translucent like ice, with a slight haze; excellent value for money
Icy-Glutinous-type (糯冰種): Between Ice-type and Glutinous-type; slight mistiness
Glutinous-type (糯種): Semi-translucent like glutinous rice; fine, smooth texture
Bean-type (豆種): The most common grade; opaque with visible crystal structure

Jadeite Colours

The ideal colour standard for jadeite is described by five qualities: pure hue (正), vivid brightness (陽), well-proportioned saturation (俏), rich depth (濃), and even distribution (均). The finest jadeite colours embody all five.

Which Colour Is Most Valuable?

Imperial Green (帝王綠) is the most prized colour in jadeite — a vivid, pure emerald green. When paired with Glass-type or Ice-type texture, its value is exceptional. Lavender (purple jadeite) and Red Jadeite (紅翡) are also among the most sought-after colours.

💡 Remember: Texture and colour must be considered together. An Imperial Green jadeite with poor texture may be worth less than an Ice-type jadeite with floating green colour. Both factors matter!
